IF you ask me, maybe the scariest thing about Halloween is the amount of sugar kids consume…my teeth ache just thinking about it! Don’t get me wrong: I am a firm believer that kids SHOULD have treats on holidays and special occasions, but everything in moderation, of course
I was looking for some festive “healthier” snack options that the little guy could bring in for his Halloween party at school, and came across these…thought I would share:
GHOST BANANAS:
APPLE MOUTHS (could use cheese instead of marshmallows):
MANDARIN ORANGE JACK-O-LANTERNS:
PUMPKIN VEGGIE TRAY:
CANDY CORN FRUIT CUPS (okay, so this one is cheating a little):
CREEPY-CRAWLY DEVILED EGGS:
MOZZARELLA STICK WITCH FINGER:
The best part is, some of these arequire little, or no, food prep
