Prepare to get excited: Brooke and I are bringing you yet another 2-part series! (If you missed our first captivating 2-part series, you can check it out here and here.) Today, we’re each dishing our TOP TEN TODDLER MUST-HAVES, i.e. the items that make our day-to-day lives much easier. Make sure you check back later today to see what Brooke’s picks are, but for now let’s get started with mine…
In no particular order… (Very Cool! I feel a little bit like Dave Letterman right now)…
1. Crocs
These little miracle shoes are perfect for busy little tootsies: they can get wet, are lightweight, slip on and off easily, and make the perfect practice shoes for learning how to get one’s feet dressed.
We never leave the house without being armed and loaded with our snack catcher…these little guys are particularly handy for trips in the shopping cart.
3. Clothing with sun protection (we like i play)
I have now bought Ben a few pieces of the i play sun protection clothing, and have been pleased with it- though I know there are some other great brands out there as well (local moms: I always find a good selection of i play on sale at Buttered Noodles). Having clothes will built-in UV protection of 50+ just helps ease the sunburn paranoia that comes with having a fair hair & skinned child. READ: I think Ben might be part vampire:
4. Wagon- like this Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon (on sale now!):
When you’re a busy dude, you have lots of stuff to tote around…until the said busy dude gets tired, and then he can get toted around
It also doubles as toy storage.
5. WeeRide Kangaroo Child Bike Seat
Best $50 spent of the summer! To read more about my Ben’s obsession with this product, check out my full review.
Oohhh- I’ve lost count of how many times this bad boy has saved Ben’s noggin’! Nothing will ruin bath time quite like a bump on the head without one of these
7. Name Bubbles
You probably already know from this post that we’re big fans of these adhesive little delights. These are especially useful for toddlers in daycare, when everything.must.be.labeled.
8. Green Spouts Disposable Placemats
I worked in restaurants for years, so even though a table may have been wiped down, I have a pretty good idea of how “clean” it really is. These placemats are great for eating out with toddlers- they are placemat and activity/coloring page all in one.
9. Safety 1st Easy Care Booster Seat
Although we still use our high chair quite a bit, this seat is really all you need. It’s so affordable, and travels SO easily. Whenever we are going somewhere for the weekend, we throw this in the back of the car…it definitely beats trying to feed a wrangling child from your lap.
10. A lovey. Ben is a big fan of the Manhattan Toy Snuggle Pod:
Because even big boys need a snuggle bug
So, there you have it! My Top Ten Toddler Must-Haves…let’s see how similar Brooke’s list is to mine!

Sam is getting that wagon for his 1st birthday Sunday. Happy to hear that it’s toddler-approved (even though I refuse to think of him as a toddler)!
