Gotta make this one quick today, I’m up to my eyeballs in Birthday party preparations (more on that on Monday, when we also reveal the winner of our inaugural caption contest).
However, I did want to take a moment and talk about something that I am particularly well-versed in: SALES! I was never such a sale-fanatic (Allow me to clarify: not that I would ever turn one down, but I didn’t seek them out quite as much) until I had a child. They cost quite a bit for such wee things, don’t they? Now that I have Ben and am footing the bill for daycare, diapers, formula, etc., I’ll save a buck wherever I can!
That being said, I would like to personally thank Mr. George Washington and good ol’ Honest Abe for the plethora of sales happening this weekend in their honor. Baby Cheapskate (an awesome blog for money-saving mommies) has the best run-down of this weekend’s sales on baby goods. Click here to check that out….seriously: check.it.out.
In addition the sales mentioned on Baby Cheapskate, Melissa & Doug has some great deals through the 29th:Save 15% on orders over $50 with the promo code: BUYMORE1550 Save 25% on orders over $100 with the promo code: BUYMORE25100 Free shipping on orders over $50 with the promo code: FREESHIPFIFTY
Babies ‘R’ Us is also having a Presidents’ Day Sale through the 20th, but the deals vary by location, so check out your local store or circular.
Finally, for all the local peeps out there, Kids Town has increased their store closing (sad face) sale to 60% of storewide. We hate to see them go, but 60% off sort of lessens the blow.
YOWZA! That’s a lot of opportunity to save some money! (I find this technique works when rationalizing sale shopping to the hubby.) I’m sure there are many others, so if you know of a good one, please share. (Sharing isn’t just for kids!)
Happy Presidents’ Day Weekend/Sale shopping!
Did you weigh in yet on whether or not it is better to be the parent of the biter or the bitee? We’d love to hear your opinion. To sink your teeth into this topic, click here.
